  • Fresh Veggies from the Farm

    Rustic Ridge Farm Visit

    Students from Mrs. Tkacik's classroom visited Rustic Ridge Farm. "The Farm" an educational project in conjunction with the YMCA of Centre County and CenClear has many opportunities for students of all ages. Visiting "The Farm" offers a moment of pause and reflection; reminding us that our food comes from the earth. It is more than just growing produce, which our students got to pick, but education. Teaching our students and families about healthy eating habits is a benefit for everyone! Students were able to enjoy the farm and were able to walk the grounds, touch and smell herbs, enjoy the gardens, as well as the animals. We plan on pursuing this educational opportunity for other students in our district.
