1) Find a clean & quiet working area
 
2) Turn off any distractions (TV, music, phones, etc) some people prefer to work with music on, but if you can't concentrate with it on...turn it off.
 
3) Work on one subject at a time
 
4) Take short breaks between assignments this gives your brain a break which will help you in the long run
